Sharon Rockman
(she/her)
is an academic editor, copywriter and private tutor (who also has a strong science background). Recently, she has also embarked upon an internship in vet nursing.
Her poetry is a direct, acerbic and often humourful evocation of human nature and relationships; how we navigate, celebrate, collaborate and love. She aims for a clear voice and a quirky take on the minutiae of day to day living.
Two of her poems have been shortlisted for the 2021 ACU Prize and one for the Ross Spencer Prize. A number of her poems are to be published in upcoming editions of Pure Slush.
She is proudly part of a
weekly writing workshop co-run by
Claire Gaskin and Gayelen Carbis,
who have provided
generous and profound
guidance as mentors
and editors.
